Psychotherapy and psychological support with empathy and care

My name is Karolina Andrzejewska and I am a psychologist and a psychotherapist in the process of certification, working in the psychodynamic approach. For over a decade, I have supported people facing emotional difficulties and life crises — both individually and in groups. I feel particularly close to supporting women in perinatal crisis.

Services

I offer psychological support and psychotherapy grounded in the psychodynamic approach. I feel close to Kohut’s perspective, which assumes that the deepest change happens when someone feels truly seen and understood. That is why the therapeutic relationship, a sense of safety, and acceptance are central to my work.

About me

I graduated in psychology from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (2009). I completed a four-year comprehensive psychotherapy training at the School of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at Krakowskie Centrum Psychodynamiczne.

I continue to develop my skills, especially in the area of perinatal support. I completed Katarzyna Skorupska’s training “Gentle Support in Perinatal Crises” (72 hours) and I take part in the supervision and mentoring group she leads.

I gained my experience, among other places, in day-support centres for people with lived experience of mental illness (Środowiskowe Domy Samopomocy), in a psychiatric day ward, and in my own psychological practice (since 2015). I also worked with the Social Welfare Centre in Swarzędz, supporting people in mental health crises both in person and in their homes.

I currently run my practice both in person and online. I also provide support within an employee and family assistance programme.

In brief

  • psychotherapy and psychological support in the psychodynamic approach
  • experience in both individual and group work
  • special interest: perinatal crises

Who is psychotherapy for?

Psychotherapy is for people experiencing emotional, relational, or life difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, stress, crises, relationship problems, low self-esteem, or a sense of feeling lost.

What is psychodynamic psychotherapy?

It helps to understand unconscious mechanisms that influence emotions, relationships, and the way you experience yourself. We work on the roots of difficulties, not only on the symptoms.

  • anxiety and depressive difficulties
  • relationship difficulties
  • work-related problems and burnout
  • low self-esteem
  • life crises such as separation, loss, or illness
  • difficult emotions such as anger, shame, or guilt
What does the first session look like?

The first meeting is a consultation. We talk about your difficulties, your goals, and how I may be able to help. It is also the moment when you can check whether you feel safe and comfortable with me.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes. Professional confidentiality applies. The only exceptions concern situations involving a risk to life or health, in accordance with the law.

How can I book an appointment?

You can book:

  • by phone
  • by email
